A hobby became later a profession as Rea Peltola and I started to produce articles for Finnish magazines and Helsingin Sanomat. Rea wrote and I took the photographs.
Until now we have published seven gardening books. Our book Pionit (”Peonies”) was a candidate for Finlandia-prize for Non-Fiction in 2007. Also the illustration of the book was praised.
When I was working as the editor-in-chief of the local newspaper Kuhmoisten Sanomat, photographing was a central part of the job. One never knew what to expect when preparing for a gig!
